Nintendo DS Lite Games
The DS Nintendo
Lite is a dual screen easily manageable gaming console
which can be carried about in hand, developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It is a slimmer and brighter
version of the DS Nintendo with a more lightweight design which is more aesthetically appealing and
glossy looking, styled more on the Game Boy Advance SP and to appeal to wider commercial
audiences.
It was officially launched in January 2006 and the demand was overwhelming. Subsequent releases were
made in Australia, North America, Europe, New Zealand, Singapore and certain regions of South America, the
Middle East, and East Asia. The sales have touched 84.49 mullion units worldwide.
It is tuned to receive Wi-Fi signals from other DS lite,
Wii systems andaccess points of Wi-Fi . It is just 2.9 inches tall, 5.2 inches
tall and 0.85 inches wide. Its top screen is back lit with a three inch TFT color LCD and a transparent
analog touch screen. It has a wireless range of thirty to hundred feet. It has a unique feature of embedded
Pictochat software which allows up to sixteen users within local range of one another to chat at once,
embedded clock, date and alarm and touch screen calibration. The Nintendo DS Lite was launched in three colors Crystal White, Ice blue and Enamel Navy
with other colors to follow soon.
Limited editions of the DS Lite were announced in
July,2006 and released in conjunction with the Final Fantasy III remake in Japan. Pokemon Daisuki club
edition was introduced in conjunction with the legendary Pokemon diamond and pearl.
These limited editions were released to capitalize on the huge popularity of earlier gaming systems
and was considered a master stroke in the marketing strategy of the company which resulted in the sales
surging to unbelievable heights and establishing DS Nintendo games systems as the premier
gaming system in its genre.
